RE: How to rewire front TV for use during driving????

In my 06 Damon Daybreak, the live plug is right next to the Interlocking plug in the cabinet to the right of the TV.

RR and Outlook Express

I have been using OE for years and have no problems. But. A friend of mine uses it and after his mail goes to OE it gets deleted from RR.
Mine dosen't. I have to log into RR about once a week and delete my mail. Is this just a setting I need to apply? I don't see anything on the settings that refer to this. Any ideas. Thanks. Gary

RE: MH Fires whats the cause?

Almost lost mine to hydraulic jacks hose being too close to the engine. It was a recal that did not get fixed right. Some flames on the top of the axle blew out before they could do any harm.

RE: May 31 Shuttle Launch

Your whole trip sounds great. We have tried (jinxed) to watch 2 launches. We were at Port Canaveral once and Jetty Park the second. We pulled off the side of the road accross from the cruise ships, set up camp for a few hours and relaxed. When the time came to leave, there was a lot of traffic, but we were on the freeway within an hour. The temperature and humidity were both high, we turned on the generator and the A/C and sat and relaxed. Well worth taking the MH to the launch.

RE: Yippee!!! Trip East on I-40, CA to MS

I have a 34 ft A. Gasser. Seems like no matter how fast I drive, I average 50 mph. I was driving 11 or so hours a day. You might be interested in the train ride to see the Grand Canyon. That RV Park is right at the station.
A lot of the drive on the 40 is miles and miles of miles.

RE: Yippee!!! Trip East on I-40, CA to MS

kjames, just did ( almost ) the same trip last week. I left from Hanford Ca. Over the 58 to the 40. Found the cheapest gas at exit 9 in AZ. Almost 30 cents cheaper than anywhere. Not sure on the diesel.
1st night 533 miles to Williams AZ. The Grand Canyon Railroad RV Park is new, very clean and was only $35.00.
2nd night 532 miles to Tucamcari. Theres a KOA there that was nice. I think It was around $25.oo. If you don't feel like cooking, they will make you a meal and deliver it to your site. Good food and reasonable.
3rd night. 560 miles. Fort Smith. Cross the Arkansa boarder in Alma, theres a KOA there that was nice.
The only issue I had was the wind in Texas and Oklahoma. A week later my shoulders and arms still ache. Also watch for delayed traffic. 3 different days the freeway was blocked because of accidents.
Can't help you much in Miss. I went thru to Tenn down the 78.

Here is our favorite stop.
Fort Clinch
It leaves about 200 miles to DW. Nice park, a short walk to the sand.

RE: Carrier on PBS

Episode #7 was absolutley amazing. Can't imagine trying to land on a football field that is moving up and down. The last episode, when the jets landing at their home base, was here in Lemoore, Ca. The next time I'm standing in line next to one of those guys at the store, I'll have renewed respect for them. Thanks to all of you who have served. Finally, some quality television.
Salem, my boy is at Lemore. He gets out next month after 7 years. He spent nearly 4 years onboard the Stennis. It is pretty amazing. Got to go on a Family Day Cruz. Watched them launch a couple planes.
If you ever get a chance to get on one, take it.
So many of those sailers are just kids.

RE: Disney to a beach.....California

Disney has it's Oversized parking lot. It is at the main parking building, they guide you outside and you park a very short walk to the tram. It is $12.00
Great for cheap lunches and afternoon knaps. You have to leave an hour or so after the park closes. No overnighters.
It can be a little noisy with the buses and trucks.

RE: Route 1 West coast Question

The mid Ca. is duable, gets a little scary around Big Sur. Some of it meets up with the 101. I'm not sure above San Francisco. I hear the northern end has some very windy areas.
Also, the west coast is 1200 + miles long.
You will see some of the prettiest coastline in the country.

RE: South Carolina Motor home tax ?

The taxes here in S.C. are a bargin compared to when I lived in Ca. My MH was $70,000. new and the taxes are about $700. a year. You pay $ 300. sales tax on any vehicle you buy.
They call it property tax and goes to the county. They show a breakdown for smaller items like fire depts and schools but the majority goes to the county for ??.
From what I read on the forum, its Pretty reasonable for everyone, not just the ultra rich.
